Your Markilux 990 awning will be fitted with Markilux’s own fabric. Markilux are the only awning company in the world to make both the fabrics and the awnings at their manufacturing plant in Germany, meaning they have complete control of all aspects of quality. All fabrics are treated with the patented SNC nano-coating that makes the material highly stain and water resistant – just what is required for a garden awning.

Markilux have 3 fabric ranges for awning covers – Sunsilk, Sunvas and Visutex. All are solution dyed polyester, which is much stronger and better for the environment that other materials commonly used in awnings. Sunsilk is a lovely smooth woven fabric with a silky look, where as Sunvas has more of a matt texture. Both fabrics perform to the same standard and both are treated with the SNC Nano-coating. The Visutex range is a combination of Sunsilk and Sunvas materials, and they are Markilux’s favorite 50 colours.
