Reynold's blinds take inspiration from the colour of the year 2019 for an uplifting decor. Please read on to find out more.

Things are looking up for 2019 – well that’s the opinion of experts who have chosen the colour of the year based on its ability to project a positive mood.

Dulux has named Spiced Honey as its colour of the year owing to its ability to ‘let the light’ in by helping to create a mood of positivity and optimism.

The paint specialist calls on design experts to consider global trends and how a colour represents those - and 2019 is looking to be year of optimism and warmth.

If you are considering updating the interior of your home, this prediction is a great place to start and, thankfully, Spiced Honey is not only representative of the coming mood, it is versatile.

Described as a warm amber tone, Spiced Honey will compliment a range of colours in the home and pairs excellently with either brightly coloured blinds and curtains or as a complimentary neutral to create a relaxing environment.

Compliment neutrals with bright blinds

Berry-coloured Roman blinds for example will provide the colour pop to make a statement against this warm neutral. Alternatively, light fabric curtains will blend in for a soothing effect.

The theme of optimism has also been picked up by influencers at Pantone, which has announced ‘life affirming’ Living Coral as its colour of the year for 2019. The colour is touted as being warm enough to nourish the soul and bright enough to nurture joy in life.

While the vivid pink is a brighter choice than Dulux’s Spiced Honey, it would actually compliment the paint tone well.

Bright colours, such as Living Coral are an excellent way of drawing attention to a feature and such a rich colour would work well in blinds and curtains. Bright pinks are also surprisingly versatile, mixing well with monochrome designs, grey neutrals and metallics.

Be inspired by the colour of the year 2019

Whether you are looking to liven up the lounge or give a bedroom a fresh look, Living Coral is a good place to seek colour inspiration from.

While channelling the optimism of colour specialists for 2019 inject some joy and positivity into your own home by updating your blinds and curtains alongside the paintwork. After all a change is as good as a rest.

Make sure you face 2019 with renewed positivity by choosing a decor that inspires you.
