Large Roller System
Our Large Roller Blind system can handle almost anything you can throw at it, with a maximum size of a huge 4m x 4m. This offers ideal solutions for modern architecture with the current trend towards even larger glass areas.
This huge coverage is achieved with a sophisticated roller shaft system with diameters of 43mm, 53mm, 65mm and 75mm. These work with either our special chain control, our winding crank option or 230v motorised solutions.
We offer a special spring assistance option of our chain control in Large Roller. A spring hidden inside the roller tube is tensioned when the chain control is used to lower the blind, and the energy store in the spring is released when the blind is lifted meaning the blind is lighter for the user to use.
Fixing for the Large Roller System utalises an incredibly strong bracket that is made from 3mm thick pressed steel. This is then combined with a patented adjustable thrust end bearing that allows the installer to adjust the roller shaft in situ to enable correct mounting where a substrate is in level. This adjustment allow the blind to run correctly and track straight.

Our basic naked roller system.
The RL-01 is our basic, chain operated naked roller system. It is called a naked system as the fabric is on display and not inside a cassette when not in use. A spring assistance system may be added to the roller chain mechanism. This is tensioned as the blind is lowered,...Show me more
Our naked electric Large Roller blind
The RL-06 is our entry level electrically operated naked roller system. It is called a naked system as the fabric is on display and not inside a cassette when not in use. The motors used in the RL-06 can be either radio remote control or relay driven via building...Show me more
Our crank operated naked Large Roller blind
The RL-07 is our entry level, crank operated naked roller system. It is called a naked system as the fabric is on display and not inside a cassette when not in use. The crank system allows much larger blinds to be operated with ease, and also is a very child safe system as...Show me more

Alternate methods of operation are crank drive, were a 3:1 ration crank operated gearbox is used to operate larger blinds via an aluminium handle. Or 230v electric operation offers easy raising and lowering at the touch of a button, with radio remote control or BMS system integration easily available.
With the aluminium profile available in a range of high quality, powder coated finishes, and the premium plastics and certified quality guarantee perfect functioning and an attractive, first rate roller system that is justifiably considered the market leader in the UK.
What is the operation options for Large Roller system?
The options are smooth chain drive, with spring lift assistance as an option on wider blinds. There is crank operation which uses a 3:1 gearbox. Or 230v motorisation using BMS system or radio operation.
What is that maximum size of blind that the Large Roller can go up to?
Running the largest 76mm roller shaft, and either crank operation or motor operation, we can manufacture a roller blind up to 4m wide x 4m drop using our large roller system.
If I add side guides, does this make the blind blackout?
Technically you cannot call any blind a blackout blind in the UK (An EU regulation). Side guides would probably not be sufficient if you wanted the blind for a photography darkroom but for almost every other common application the side guides will make any room dark enough.
