Many shutters look the same, but they are not.

The points most under strain on a shutter are the top corners. Whilst many shutters have their corners constructed using screws and dowels, ours use the stronger and more traditional method of mortise and tenon joints.

Although this method can take longer, this combined with special cored sides (or stiles to give them their correct name) makes a Reynolds shutter one of the strongest available on the market today.

The finish, be it pain or stain is applied twice, once before the shutter is assembled and once afterwards. And to finish it off, an anti UV coating is applied to give the shades a long life in the sun.
