Q. Having got my vertical blinds home and looked at them, the pocket at the top and the bottom of the material appears to be bonded rather than sewn. I think it looks very neat, much better than my other blinds but I wondered how it worked.
A. Yes, we are really proud of the finish. We have a special machine for manufacturing vertical blinds which cuts and seals the fabric automatically. The bond is made by the machine placing a very special adhesive onto the material which is then heated up to 160 degrees C!! Not only is it very neat but also will not be affected by the sun like traditional sewing methods where the thread can often rot causing the pockets to come undone.
